What are the tourism awards?
The Australian Tourism Award process is an exhaustive examination of all facets of your tourism business, with sections covering everything from staff training & customer service to environmental sustainability and community involvement.
Tourism award winners are selected by an independent panel of judges with extensive experience in the tourism industry. Winners at state level are automatically entered into the National Tourism Award finals.
Go West first won the Victorian Tourism Award in 2005, and went on to receive a High Commendation at the National Tourism Award finals in the same year. A High Commendation indicates that the judges had a high degree of difficulty in separating first and second places.
In 2006, we again won the Victorian Tourism Award, and we were advised by members of the judging panel that we had placed second in the National Awards.
In 2007, after securing our third consecutive Victorian Award, and thus a place in the Victorian Tourism Awards Hall Of Fame, we were delighted to finally break through for a win at the National Tourism Awards.
Go West Tours’ outstanding results over three consecutive years are indicative of the pride we take in delivering exceptional tourism experiences to our customers. We are truly proud of our team’s ability to deliver consistent excellence over a sustained period.
